Every piece is cut from Carvico VITA® — a 190 GSM Italian warp-knit fabric made with ECONYL® regenerated nylon. Carvico has been engineering performance stretch fabrics in Lombardy since 1962. VITA is what they built for premium swimwear: soft, structured, and built to outlast the brands that charge twice as much.

The nylon itself starts as waste — abandoned fishing nets pulled from ocean floors, industrial scraps, end-of-life carpets. Aquafil chemically breaks it back to its original monomer, rebuilds it into new nylon 6, and the result is molecularly identical to virgin nylon. Same strength. Same elasticity. Same dyeability. Just without the oil extraction.

What that means in practice: four-way stretch that recovers fully. A matte, buttery hand feel that reads as expensive because the fabric is. Double-lined and completely opaque — including in ivory, including when wet. More than twice the resistance to chlorine, sunscreen, and oils of standard nylon swimwear. UPF 50+ protection built into the knit structure, not added as a coating. Color that doesn't fade. A shape that doesn't stretch out.

VITA is used by Prada, Stella McCartney, Mara Hoffman, and Speedo's ECO line. We use it because it's the right fabric — and because a suit that lasts years costs less per wear than one that doesn't make it through summer.
